    "ocrText": "February 19, 1934\nMiss Anne Slater Franks\nSecretary, Local Committee\nRed Cross Nursing Service\nCabaniss Hall\nRichmond, Virginia\nMy dear Miss Franks:\nThank you very much for the information contained\nin your letter of February 12 and the enclosed note from the\nfamily of Miss Nannie J. Minor. Inasmuch as Miss Minor was\ntransferred to the third reserve sometime ago, her #2 card is\nin this office but we will be sincerely grateful to you if you\nwill send us additional information to complete her records now\nthat she has passed away. We will appreciate having the exact\ncause and place of her death and also her appointment card and\nbadge if you will be good enough to get them from her family\nfor filing with her permanent records here at National Head-\nquarters. We are sure you will be willing to help us in this.\nWe are very glad indeed to know that you are making\nyour plans for Delano week and if the Committee decides to use\nsix nurses' capes and caps on the night of the celebration, we\nshall be glad to send them to you as soon as you advise us of\nthe date for which they are desired and forward your definite\nrequest for them.\nIn reply to the second paragraph of your letter, we\nare afraid we shall have to leave the question to the Committee\nfor decision. A.R.C. 703 indicates that the Committee will send\nto Headquarters for transfer to the third reserve, the #2 cards\nof all nurses who have failed to respond to questionnaires for two\nconsecutive years. Upon carefully going over the #2 cards of your\nnurses who have not responded for two years, however, you may find\nsome whom you know are active in nursing work at this time and who\nare perhaps still under forty years of age, who you feel you would\nlike to give another opportunity to remain in the active status.\nWe would suggest that you send another questionnaire to such nurses\nthis year. In such cases perhaps a little personal note written on\nthe questionnaire will bring a response."
