My dear Miss Black:
It as very kind of you to forward Miss
Minor's letter. I am delighted to hear that she has at last,
succeeded in getting her war claim. I agree with her, it was
surely a long and tedious process. Our correspondence with
her was voluminous. We did everything we could through our
liaison officers and others to push her claim. There seem
to be so many technicalities that one must observe that I do
not blatnetheunfortunate victins of World War service for
becoming thoroughly discouraged; but I am, indeed, delighted
that Miss Minor finally succeeded.
It is very considerate of you to write
letters instead of sending questionneires, for I realize that
it is sometimes a rather bitter experience for those who are
disabled to have to tell why they cannot respond to a call for
service.
I am returning Miss Minor's letter as you
may wish to keep it. Again thanking you, I am
