Bayon a ARAJID My dear Miss Freer: I DZO glad to receive your wire and'to know that you YOA38 38 JJIW be available to aail on April 24th for service in Dr. Bellas' Hospital in France. We will have you scheduled to sail about April 34th. We can only give an approximate date, but Dr. Babcock of the Personnel Division will send you definite instructions, and may I ask that you do not leave your home address until you have received and executed his instructions. This is essential if you ar to receive your passport. I am enclosing a circular of information which gives you de- tailed instructions concerning mut Cerial for your passport. I would suggest that you immediately secure information necessary, and I would further suggest that you have 3 dozen photographs instead of 2 as mentioned in the circular, and that the size of the head should not be more than 1 inch by 11 inches in order to fit some of the papers. We request that you pay your transportation to New York, secur- ing vouchers for all expenditures to present at the New York office for reimbursement. You ade allowed $3.00 a day hotel bill while in New York and salary at $0.00 a day from data of leaving home to date of sailing, provided there has been no stop-over on the way. The salary paid is $60.00 a month and you are able to make whatever allotment you desire of this salary before leaving this country. After leaving there can be no change made in the method o of payment of salary. The nurses should carry with them a reserve fund of at last $100, and half of this should be in French money for greater con- 6 veneince. 6 All bu nass arrangements are made by Dr. Babcock of the Bureau of Transportation who will sand you instructions, and may I repeat that you should not leavo home until you have received
