OF ADVANCE FUNDS FROM THE
AMERICAN RED CROSS
(INSTRUCTIONS:- Sign both copies, return one to Miss Mary Beard, Director, Nursing Service,)
(National Readquarters, American Red Cross, Washington, D.C., retain the other to submit for
(verification of advance in Rawaii.
Having been duly appointed by the American Red Cross to serve with the emergency civilian
hospitals in the Hawaiian Island, under the auspices of the Emergency Medical and Hospital
Service of the Territorial Office of Civilian Defense in the Territory of Hawaii, I

acknowledge the receipt of Seventy fine
dollars
from the Amerioan Red Cross which I understand to be a personal advance to cover my travel and
maintenance expenses from my present place of employment to Hawaii. It is futther understood
that the Territorial orfice of Civilian Defense has agreed to reimburse me for the above men-
tioned expenses and I agree to liquidate this advance immediately upon the receipt of
reimbursement from the O.C.D., and will repay amount of check to the American Red Cross through
Mr. Allan W. Houghton
