December 29, 1942 AIR MAIL Miss Reba Elizabeth Mumma Appartment 4 2136 Fulton Street Toledo, Ohio 2 My dear Miss Mumma: Thank you very much for your prompt reply to our recent letter concerning the Hawaii Nursing Program. Although we expected to make all of the appointments before the first of May, it is barely possible that we shall be able to hold off your appointment until that time. It depends somewhat, of course, upon the urgency of the situation in Hawaii, Therefore, we cannot predict at the present time just how long we may be able to postpone appointments, however, we shall check your references and then will communicate with you further about arrangements for a physical examination. If an emergency does develope, we hope that it may be possible for you to be released from your position at a little earlier date that you now anticipate. We shall keep you on our list as one of our potential applicants. Very truly yours, (Mrs.) Ernestine B. Amick Assistant to Director Nursing Service EBA:nma I D -
