November 21,1916. Miss Mary K. Nelson, Hospital Auxiliaire, No. 43 bis, St Valery, En-Caux, France. My dear Miss Nelson: I am giving the friends of the nurses in St Valery an opportunity to send them a box at Christmas time. I have also made arrange- ments to have it shipped direct from the Bush Terminal by December First. I do hope that there will be less delay in its delivery than there was last year, but I have been out of town since the latter part of September so that it WSB impossible for me to take the matter up any earlier. It seems a long time since I have heard from any of the nurses at St Valery but I feel sure that you know of my continued interest in your welfare and that we all appreciate greatly the splendid work which you are doing. I am not quite sure whether the murses are all at St Valery but am writing to the friends of the following: Miss Helen Spaulding " Marion Rice " Josephine Clay " Helen Kerrigan Mary Nelson There may be other nurses with you at st Valery but I have no way of knowing. I am also writing to the friends of Mrs. King, Miss Beach and Miss Jones. With all good wishes for a happy Christmas for you and the other nurses, believe me, Yours sincerely, Chairman National Committee D-HM Red Cross Nursing Service.
