FORM 222 THE AMERICAN RED CROSS NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS NEW ENGLAND DIVISION. BOSTON, MASS. To Miss Clara D. No yes, Director of NursingDate December 23, 1921. Washington, D. C. From Miss Mary K. Nelson, Div. Director of Subject Nursing, New England Division. Age My dear Miss No yes: It was most kind of you to reply so quickly to my personal note, explaining my present troubles, or, as they appear to me, trials. It seems wiser, at present, to have Miss Wildes carry the routine work, just she did during my summer vacation. We count on everything going well. Should it not, other arrangements are ready to be considered. Mr. Rotch and Miss Wildes both prefer this plan, and I myself, think it the wiser one. I know I can be very thankful that I am so near home. Dr. MaCrae, my own physician, is closely connected with Dr. Truesdale, with whom I worked so long in his hospital in Fall River, so it means that I go into his hospital the 26th to have him do the work the 27th. Having such full confidence in his ability, I can leave everything entirely to him, and know whatever he does will be best for me. I have arranged SO Miss Wildes will be kept informed of my progress, and she, in turn, will relay that word on to you. I have purposely been getting myself in the best possible condition for this, and judging by past experiences where I have made really remarkable recoveries from more serious illnesses, I feel confident that I shall be back here in what would appear a short time ordinarily. My thanks again to you for your kind thoughtfulness. Yours very sincerely, mary K. Nelson f. Nelson Mary Director of Nursing Service. MKN/BA
