Extract from letter dated November third, 1920 from Harry L. Hopkins,
Division Manager, Gulf Division, A.R.C. to Miss Elizabeth Fox.
During the past two or three weeks I have had occasion to see all of
your directors of public health nursing and have had a numberoof con-
ferences with Miss Nelson and observed her making contracts with state
people. I think Miss Nelson already stands out as the leader of the
group. She not only knows her business, but is exceedingly tactful
and cooperative. At this moment I believe we could have secured
no better director. There are a number of difficulties to be ironed
out with the state folks and Miss Nelson seems to be just the person
to do it. I only wish we could find someone like her to handle the
training school.
