N u November 17, 1927. Miss Christine M. "uno, St. Luke's -nternational Hospital, Tokyo, Japan. 3 e My dear Mies Nuno: a C thank you very much for sending me the e additional photographs of the Graduating Class of mid- wisee and the St. Luke's Exhibit at the Department of Education Healt Exhibit. They are very good pictures and ehow great attention to detail. I was particularly interested in the little group of "mid-wives, they look so young and immature, but theyt tidiness itself and the plan of carrying the mid-wives through the entire care of the patient, from the pre-natal period to the care of the baby is excellent. I em wondering what the City School for Mid-Wives ie like and under whoee direction it is conducted? Mies Henneberger may have come while I was away, Bot I have not as yet seen her. I should, indeed, have been glad to have talked over the situation with her. I was very sorry to hear of Miss Fitzgeraldte Ullness, but hope that she hae made a good recovery. I imagine that the loss of thirty pounds, however, is not a real source of worry 8.8 she is inclined to be too heavy. We have had the most wonderful autump, like summer today, but it ie raining and colder weather is promised. We have had so little rain this fall that we rather resent even one day. With best wishes for a Happy Christmae, I em Very sincerely yours, N.H National Director, Nursing Service. 3
