I have said everything I could to milce them believe in the value of nurses, and have given them a set of regulations, and as you will prob- ably be interested in them I am sending you a copy. These regulations were de- veloped months ago for use in connection with qur other Commissions, and were ac proved by Dr. Hill and everyone else at the time. n This is only a note principaliy to thank you for the vory beautiful Chr mas bage Everyone has admired it, and I am simply thrilled by having it, The frills on the sirt of the little lady, including her ruffled petticoat appeal to my sense of beauty and what is aesthetic. The little dresses which trame in the other package are very, very nice. Poor E I hear he is sitting with two sets of flannels and a sweater on, with his feet on a little Square rug, on account of chilblains, in/ a miserable little office, for] and pitiful. DO advise him to come back to America, that the job is not big enou for a man of his ability. It is too bad to have him so unhap y ,and besides he is not strong enough for the work.
