My dear Miso Godzoê:
I
Your frank letter reg. rding your application has been
received. I was in some doubt if you were still a Public
Health Nurie in New Cannan, Connecticut. I understand that

you still are in this work. If so, do you desire to give it
up and to enroll in active military service? Do you consider
that the work you are doing now is sufficientiy important
to justify you in remaining wher you are? If this is the case,
the Red Cross has group --What we call a special
service group, created to include Public Health murses and
those employed in responsible positions in hospitals, where-by
these nurses may be enrolled, thoagh they may not care to go
into active service. I feal that your application may be considered
under this class, and I will. be glad to consider your application
when this point is settled.
