Miss Olivia Peterson
Division of Child Hygiene
State Department of Health
Minneapolis, Minnesota
Dear Oliviastor
We have been so concerned to do everything for
Norway, and it has been possible to do so very, very little. As
you no doubt know, we hoped e rehabilitatio unit might be sent over,
perhaps in a Red Cross ship, with supplies, including cereal foods
for young children, but all of that has had to be put aside. I an
sending you the last five News Releases about what the Red Cross has
done and is doing for Norway. I believe they include everything. I
had so much hoped that a unit which would include yourself might go.
It is a very strange and heart-rending time in the world's
history. I will let you know of any changes that happen here. Mean-
while, please write me any ideas or suggestions or thoughts that you
have that you feel would be useful to us.
With nuch love,
Mary Beard
Director, Nursing Service
