Have a tailor measure you according to the specified measurement blank that is enclosed with this letter. Return this promptly, giving us your indoor uniform and hat size and also the address to which you wish them sent. Sign and return to us all receipts that accompany each package of uniforms. , lie would also like to have the following information: your rull name; age; religion; name and address of your nearest relative, stating relationship; and the name and address of the person or bank to which you wish to have your salary paid while you are in England. Salaries will be paid the first of the month automatically. These will be less deductions on a drawing account for personal expenses in England. Your family will be notified of your arrival there and it is the present intention of Harvard University to issue a monthly report to them. Mail may be sent to the American Red Cross Headquarters, London, England. It will be forwarded to us from there. Enclosed you will rind rules and regulations for obtaining passports. You will note from these regulations that you should present yourself before a clerk of your local U.S. District Court, unless an Agent of the enclosed letter of appointment, two photographs and, in addition, evidence Department of State is Located near you. You should take with you the of American citizenship, and apply for a passport. The fee of $10.00 and your also the cost of the trip to the port of embarkation will be reimbursed. We are writing to the State Department, supporting your application and requesting that the passport be sent to us so that we may obtain the a British visa for you here in Washington, after which we will return passport to you. There may be sone delay in obtaining these passports dis- until we know just what boat we will be sailing on. LO do not be turbed if you fail to receive yours shortly after application has been filed.
