October 19, 1942 Extract from Miss Tracy after her return from Hawaii Beatrice M. Porter was convinced that th e entire territoy of Hawaii is the most wicked place in the world, that the immorality, commoness and vulgarity cannot be equalled. Wishes to return to the Mainlardd as soon as they can be released. According to agreement with them, we are obliged to return them. They have been given temporary employment by O.D.D. with the understanding that they will be released when replacements are available. I believe, however, that both of these nurses would be willing to act as convoy nurses to serve the double purpose of supplying convoy nurses and save the Red Cross the expense of returning her. Miss Porter was not so well liked, nor was she able to adjust so readily to the situation there. 3 r
