Miss Valeria Rittenhouse,
Community House,
Purchase, N. Y.
My dear Miss Rittenhouse:
I am sending the physical and immunity certificates
as requested, and will ask you to return the same to Miss
Van Blarcom, 1 Madison Ave., New York City, N.Y., asking
her to what Emergency Detachment she wishes to assign you.
You will then be in line for call for duty.
Will you please let me know whether you desire home
or foreign duty? We are having many calls for duty in the
United States with the army or navy, and I feel that it would
mean an indefinite wait for foreign service.
Very truly yours,
Director, Bareau of Nursing Service.
