"From experience gained in the World War we know that in order
to provide 5,500 qualified nurses to the Army and Navy. a reserve of many more than
that number will have to be furnished. Our national defense also requires thousands
of public health nurses. To fill this need we urge the enrollment of all qualified
public health nurses at this time,"
Mrs. Flikke asks Miss Rosele:
"Are yóu ready to take the oath, Miss Rosele?"
Miss Rosele replies: "I am."
Captain James L. Murchison, adjutant of the Walter Reed Hospital,
