Dear Miss Noyes:
On March 22nd, there was mailed to the American Red Cross
Nursing Bureau in Washington, by Mrs. Ford, acting for the local Red
Cross Nursing Committee, the application of Miss Blanche S. Rulon
for membership in the nursing force of the American Red Cross. Miss
Rulon is to act as Directress of Nurses in our University of Pittsburgh
Base Hospital Unit.
Miss Rulon has heard nothing from the application
up to the present time.
Inasmuch as our nursing situation is
progressing very favorably and quite rapidly, I would take it as a personal
favor if you could look up this application, mailed by Miss Ford and
do what may be done to have it acted on promptly. Unfortunately,
I
am unable to tell you to whom Mrs. Ford addressed her letter.
