Miller,\nUniversity of Pittsburgh,\nPittsburgh, Pa.\nthe\nMy dear Doctor Miller:-\nDr. Richards has just informed me that you tele-\nphoned to him concerning Miss Rulon's appointment card. I do not quite\nunderstand why there should be any anxiety upon this point as Miss Rulon\nhas been furnished with every possible piece of literature, and with\nfull information concerning the organization of the nursing personnel\nof the University Base Hospital Unit, and has been nominated as Chief\nNurse, and her papers will be acted upon when they are received as prompt-\nly as possible. There should be no delay as I took especial pains to give\nMiss Rulon full information concerning the organization of a Base Hospital\nUnit. Dr. Richards, of course, is not familiar with this phase of our\nRed Cross work, and begged me to send you a line upon this point. will\nyou please reassure Miss Rulon that she is recognized as the Chief Nurse\nof your Unit.\nBelieve me as,\nVery truly yours,\nN/MeN\nDirector Bureau of Nursing Service."
