Letter from Miss McGovern to Miss Mapes, date of Oct.21/21.
"Ihave many unpleasant things to tell you. First of all
Miss Dorrington is not working in cooperation with me. The School
visiting has not yet been started. She tells me she will attend
to her own business and does not have to report to me.
Both she and Miss Slack have made a mess of it here. They
are in league with the srez doctor.
Before Mrs.Case arrived they had changed everything
in the dispensary, and I cannot account for many of the supplies.
when I asked Miss Slack about things she turned on me like a fiend
incarnate before my two probationers, said she was not here to
answer my questions.
When I got up to leave the dispensary she followed me to
the door and shrieked "Go to hell, you devil, and repeated it
several times regradless of the passers-by
you a more detailed account of what occurred
As soon as I learn of your return to here. Belgrade, shall give
Sd.Ella F.McGovern.
