Extract of a letter to Miss Noyes from E. M. Malcolm, Near East Relief, dated 1-13-30.
"I wish to acknowledge your communication of January 6th in response
to our request for information regarding the status of Annie E. Slack.
We appreciate your detailed account of the experience of the Red
Cross with Miss Slack especially so since it gave us an opportunity to not only
clear this detail with her but also enabled us to have Miss Slack clear with you
what we considered to be of the utmost importance. It is our opinion that the
failure tc do this sooner was largely a case of neglect on the part of Miss Slack,
and after the matter was presented she was-very glad indeed to take up with you the
necessary details to complete your files. We certainly appreciate your cooperation
in giving us these details."
