My dear Miss Smith:
As there is no longer any assignment of nurses for
foreign service your papers have been referred to this Bureau on
account of your interest and experience in public health work. As
you are already engaged in the service, your application is merely
on the pre-war status to be available only in case of emergency.
If at any time you should be interested to apply for a position in
the Red Cross Public Health Nursing Service we should be very happy
to communicate with you in regard to it. Thanking you for your in-
terest in the Red Cross, I am
