Extract of letter to Miss Fox from Miss Stanley, May 20, 1920,
re Miss Smythe.
"You will be relieved to know that we now think we have a very desirable per-
son for our state nurse representative in Missouri in the person of Miss Eva Smythe.
She is all that her credentials state and I believe that we will make no mistake in
placing her in the position of state nurse. Miss Anderson agrees with me in this.
Our plan is to use Miss Smythe for one of the district supervisors for
Missouri for the month of June, until Miss Mary Coleman arrives on July 1st from
Teachers College, then place her in the state position."
