C.\nNURSING\nMy dear Miss Dunbar:\nI hope you don't think I have forgotten about Miss\nSomerville's trunk. I haven't, but have had a hard time connecting\nwith Mr. Gray. However, I have talked with him and he tells me\nthat due to several unfortunate circumstances he can do nothing more\nabout it nor can the customs collector.\nIf the London people had told Miss Somerville, or had\nsent some notation that the trunk was coming, it probably would have\npassed all right, or if she had come in with it or declared it at\nLaGuardia Field when she landed; but I suppose in the excitement of\ngetting home she never thought of it and of course I couldn!t get at\nher until they were through the Customs and out of the restricted\narea. I do wish something could be done about it for I know she has\nno $20 for duty she really shouldn't have to pay. Can't you wangle\nit out of somebody in Washington?\nI wonder if you saw in the morning \"Times\" the marriage of\nMiss Jurewitz. I think it was the chap who telephoned about her con-\nstantly when she was supposed to be lost. She was married yesterday\nat the Chapel of St. Patrick's and little Miss Somerville was her\nattendant.
