April 14, 1943 Miss Margaret Somerville 171 Broad Street Catskill, New York My dear Miss Somerville: Miss Beard has already written to you in response to your letter of April 7, but she has asked ne to give you further information on your specific questions. We have referred your letter to the Red Cross Supervisor of Insurance with the request that he write to you directly regarding the question of the insurance payments. The delays in this are, I an sure, very difficult to accept when one is uncertain and not feeling well, but they have really been unavoidable. I cannot understand the difficulty you have had with'your trunk as we thought we had attended to everything necessary when we arranged to have it sent to you pre-paid. I am sure the situation will be straightened out when examined further, but I can readily understand how it has been one more thing to require your attention at a time when such things are difficult to deal with. I am requesting that a nemorad- dun be sent at once to the New York office indicating that we can see no reason for duty and explaining your service. Please do not hesitate to write regarding any point on which you would like to have information or help, and about which you would very naturally talk to us if you were nearer. Sincerely yours, Virginia M. Dunbar Assistent Director Nursing Service VD/gh 81,559
