My dear Mrs. Stackable:
I was indeed sorry to hear that you were still
suffering from neuritis and that you have been miserable for
such a long time but hope that you will gradually improve.
In regard to your Red Cross badge, we can dublicate
that but I doubt if we can duplicate the service bars as we
have not used them for many years. I am, however, sending you
a new badge under separate cover.
I regret to state that you are not eligible for a
bonus. Only those Red Cross nurses who were assigned to the
military establishment with ither the Army or Navy come within
the provisions of the Veterans Administration compensation or
bonus.
I I.am so glad that your interest in the Red Cross
is still maintained and hope that you will enjoy wearing your new
badge as much as I do mine.
