a February 9, 1943 Miss Janet Elizabeth Stahl Butterfield Hospital Cold Spring, New York My dear Miss Stahl: Now that some of your credentials have been returned we are in a physical service position in fitness Hawaii. to definitely for Your foreign appointment consider service. your depends, application Therefore, of course, I for am referring civilian upon your nursing you to present Dr. Frank Perry Goodwin, 312 Prendergast Avenue, Janestown, New York, for this physical examination. We are also communicating with Dr. Goodwin, advising him that you will report within a short time. Will you please, therefore, take the responsibility of getting in touch with Dr. Goodwin, upon receipt of this letter, to make an appointment. Dr. Goodwin has been advised that the American Red Cross will assume whatever expense is involved for the examination. Please report to us (in detail) the expense you incur in making the trip from Cold Spring, New York to Jamestown, New York, on the enclosed voucher 102A and we will see that you are reim- bursed for same. Your teeth should be in good condition so that you will not be in need of any immediate dental work. As soon as the report of your physical examination has been re- turned to this office we will advise you of the decision of our Red Cross Medical examiner concerning your physical fitness for service.
