April 5, 1923,
Miss Mary E. Stebbins,
418 State Capitol Bldg.,
Jefferson City, Mo.
My daar Miss Stebbins:
Thank you for your letter of April first.
Not hearing from you, I sent a copy of my previous letter to you
yesterday. I am sorry that you are not interested in the Haitian
situation, yot I should not regard this as any disloyalty to the
Red Cross, Your preparation as a public health nurse should be
used, I believe, for public henlth work, We havo-several others
under consideration for the opportunity in Halti,
Thanks for sending me Mrs. Eruse's letter,
I never could understand shry she should have beanleft in charge of
this work. Miss Bridge at the School in Warsaw is trying to
develop a public health field, She could hardly depend upon Mrs.
Kruse to supervise the practical training of her student mares,
so we are planning to use one of our American-Polish Public Health
nurges connected with the Institution. I do hope. that some of
Miss Bridge's graduatos will ultimately qualify for this public
health work.
Let me hear from you occasionally, and
with best wishes, I am
Very sincerely yours,
Director - Nursing Service.
