Miss Julia c. Stimson,
Horsechestnut Roud,
Briarcliff Manor,
Westchester, New York.
My dear Miss Stimson:
No doubt you have been informed that a new district of the New York
State Nurses Association has been formed which covers Westchester County.
In order that Red Cross activities, especially those related to the enrollment
of nurses in the Red Cross Nursing Service, may be more readily promoted it
has been deemed advisable to organize a new Local Committee on Red Cross Nurs-
ing Service for that area. This will necessitate the transfer of your record
card as a Red Cross nurse from the Manhattan Local Committee to the new
Committee which will be known as the Westchester County Local Committee on
Red Cross Nursing Service with headquarters at White Plains.
The newly appointed officer3 of the committee are:
Miss Annie E. Gress, Chairman
Grasslands Hospital, Valhalla, N. Y.
Miss Anne H. McCabe, Secretary
County Office Building, White Plains, New York
Please keep your secretary advised of your whereabouts at all times
in order that your records may be kept up to date and your availability for
service known.
Your continued interest in the Red Cross Nursing Service is greatly
appreciated.
Very sincerely,
Mary Beard
Director, Nursing Service
