My dear Mrs. Stinson: Immediately on receipt of your letter on ctober 23rd, we cabled to Miss Hay, Chief Nurse of our European Commission, to notify your daughter of her Father's de th. May I express to you my deep sympa thy with you in your loss. I realize what a greet comfort it would be to have your daughter with you at this time, and regfet that duty his call- ed her so for away. Miss Stinson is no longer in. Poland as the greater part of our Personnel W.S. withdrawn in ugust, but we have not he rd of her leter assignment. Believe me, Very sincerely yours, Director, Department of Nursing. R
