+ ff K #2 Re: Margaret A. Strycker To: Miss Clara D. Noyes M a < co .At the time Miss Strycker called at the office she had in her possession an original order issued by General Pershing as her authority for enter- ing Italy for six months. 1 am sending you a copy of this authority. e Miss Strycker has been prominent in the Nurses Post of the American t Legion, but at the present time some of the members are questioning her right to belong, in as much as she has not a discharge from the U.S. Military Service on record. This has instigated her desire of A obtaining a discharge from the U.S. Army Service for the period cover- ing July 22, 1917 until December 27, 1917. Miss Strycker states that Miss St. John Aikens is now located in New York City, but she does not know the name of the hospital. She also states that Miss Beatrice Boman, of the U.S. Navy might possibly remember her. She has not seen Miss Boman since they served together during the war but she has talked with Miss Aikens several times at various meetings of the Nursing Service. We would appreciate any effort you may make to have Miss Strycker's record cleared through the Army Nursing Corp. She has various dis- charges from the Red Cross Units. Thanking you for any information you are able to obtain relative to question at hand, I am Very truly yours, Syydia m Clarke (Miss) Lydia M. Clarke Secretary, Home Service LC:b
