I an ashamed that your nemo. of November 12 in regard to
action to be taicen about Miss Fara Sullivan, of Centro Hospital,
El Centro, California, who wrote such a discourteous letter to Captain
Weder, has gone so long unanswered. I am not sure that it really calls
for an answer because I feel that the action you have taken in asking
your consultant to see the nurse when she has an apportunity to do so is
the logicel procedure to follow and about all that can be done under the
circumstances.
I will be very much interested in knowing what impression the
consultant has of this young woman following her interview with her. It
is barely possible that more drastic action will have to be token as a
result of it. However, I rather imagine that Miss Sullivan has gotten
over her heat of the moment and hes repented her rather ill-chosen ex-
préssion of feeling, and that it wes, not an indication of unsuitability
for nembership in the Red Cross Nursing Service.
I am sure you have your hands full these days with matters of
much greater importance which demand your attention, so I shall not expect
further report on this unless more drastic action is indicated as a result
of the interview.
