Bridge Street\nSomerville, New Jersey\nMy dear Miss Tate:\nYour record has been returned from the Navy\nNurse Corps with the comment that you were physically\ndisqualified for military service. We are very sorry\nindeed to learn of this decision as no doubt you are\nkeenly disappointed.\nPerhaps you would like to consider the possi-\nbilities of employment with the Veterans Administration\nwhich governmental agency is in need of many more nurses\nat the present time. Large numbers of our fighting men\nare being returned to this country many of whom may need\nprolonged hoppitalization. If you are interested I would\nsuggest that you write to Miss Gwen Andrew, Superintendent\nof Nursing, Veterans Administration, Washington, D.
