The American Red Cross, through its Chapters, is engaged in an extensive public health nursing service, largely
in rural communities. As it employs many Red Cross Nurses for this purpose, it is important that all candidates
for enrollment shall have a good training in pediatrics and obstetrics, as well as in medical and surgical nursing.
Many nurses applying for enrollment are being considered for some Red Cross service as soon as they have
been accepted as Red Cross Nurses. May we urge your cooperation in promptly filling in this credential and
returning it to the Committee Secretary by whom it is requested.
