COPY THE AMERICAN RED CROSS Mich. Nexford County Chapter Cadillac, Mich., November 6, 1925. Miss Elba B. Morse, % American Red Cross, 1709 Washington Ave., St. Louis, Mo. Dear Mi SS Morse: Our Miss Taylor would like to be known as a Red Cross Nurse, but upon inquiry she has been told that she was not fully qualified for such a certificate. She is a graduate of our local hospital and as I remember it, the information she has received was that the standing of Mercy Hospital at Cadillac was not up to the requirements of the American Red Cross. We are not fully advised as to just what steps or training Miss Taylor should take in order that she may receive a Red Cross certi- ficate, but we are rather anxious to find out just what is necessary and if you are in position to tell us we shall be glad to pass this informa- tion along to her. Miss Taylor is doing such fine work in the county and is so very much interested in her work that naturally we are anxious to do what we can to have her fully qualified and inasmuch as she wants to reach the requirements of the Red Cross perhaps you can tell her or us just how this may be brought about. We want to thank you in advance for the in- formation and would also like to say that we are making our plans for the Roll Call with the expectation that we shall raise a little more money in this community than we did last year. We trust you are happy in the new territory and that you will not forget to come to Michigan occasionally, oftener if possible. With best wishes, we are, Sincerely yours, (Signed) HENRY KNOWLTON Cha irman many Taylor
