Miss Helen Toal,
507 Harvard Street North
Seattle, Washington
April 17,1929
My dear Miss Teal:
I am awfully sorry that the Virgin Islands seems
toounprogressive a job to attract you. Of course you are quite right
in thinking that one can't push matters very fast in a tropical
country but I think you would have found it interesting and perhaps
more worth while then you think. However, you know the situation
as well as I do.
I am sorry that the committee end of your work
has been a disappointment to you. I am afraid if you plan to go on
with visiting mursing administration you will find yourself up
against committee problems wherever you go. If they are not of one
kind they are of another. However, if you move on to another post
of that kind I do hope you will find the committee more to your
liking.
Wishing you the best of luck in whatever you do
and hoping that it will not be outside the nursing field,
Yours sincerely,
Eligabeth 0.Fox,
National Director,
Public Health Nursing Service
