We have you scheduled to sail about May 7th. We can only give an
approximate date, but Dr. Baboock of the Personnel Division will sond
you definite instructions, and my I ask that you do not leave home
until you have received and executad hio instructions. This is essen-
tinl if, you aro to secure your passport.
I am enclosing a circular of information whizh gives you detailed
instructions concerning motorial for your passport, I world suggest
that you immediately information necessary,

tioned in the circular and that the sise of the hend should not be more
than 1 by 17 inches in order to fit some of the papare, also that no
hat should be woun.
We request that you pay your own transportation to Now York, sacure
ing.vouchers for all ampenditures to present at the New York office for
reimbursement. You are allowed $8.00 a day hotel bill while in New York
and salry at $3.00 a day from dite of leaving home until date of salling
provided there has baon no stop=over on the way,
The salary paid is $60.00 a month and you re áble to make whatever
allotment you dedire of this salary before leaving this country. After
leaving this country there can be no changs mas in the mathod of pay-
ment of anlary. Forms for this purpose will be sent you latér from Dr.
Babcoak's office.
The nursus, 10° possible, should aurry a reservo funt of $100 in-
stead of $50.00 mentioned in the circular. Mr. Hollani, of the American
Red Cross, 224 Fourth Avenus, New York City, will be glad to advise
and suggest to you the mothod of carrying youx porsonal funds and the
amount of French money you should take
All business arran remants are made by Dr. Babcocki of the Department
of Transportation who will send you instructions, and may I repeat that
you should not leave homa until you have received his instructions.
You should report in Naw Yoric at least one week before the designa-
ted date of sailing to Miss Florence Johnson, representative of the
Nursing Service at 44 Enst 33rd Street. Miss Johnson will seé that
you ree ive your equipment and give you all information as to how to
