My dear Miss Thomas:
From a letter which you wrote Mrs. August on August 3lst 1 judge
that we de not have at the present time a pesition in the Red-
Cross which you would care to take.
Just this morning I have heard from an opening which might interest
you. The Industrial School at Delaware needs a Superintendent and
one is wanted whe has a suitable amount of executive ability and
training. Several women have applied for the position, which comes
under the Department of Public Welfare in the Division of Charities
of this State, but it is hoped to keep the appointment out of poli-
tics, in possible. A nurse who has served in the Army need not take
the Civili Service Examination and it is hoped that we can find some
such nurse who would be interested in the work.
For information regarding the position, write Mr. Harry H. Nowett,
Department of Public Welfare, Division of Charities, Ohio Building
Colunbus, Ohic.
