I have giben the matter considerable thought and have\ndecided to ask the withdrawal of my application for a scholar-\nship . Since you kindly offered to change the figures for\nme on the application for loan , I shall ask you to make it\nout for $800. instead of $400.\nThe amount of $800. is asked after a careful\nanalysis of legitimate expenses and after consultation with the\nthe authorities of the Public Health Section of Teacher's Col-\nlege. The College gives out the information that $1000 for 8months\nis the very lowest figure that one can maintain themselves on.\nThis is approximated as follows :\nBoard and Room\n$500.00\nTuition and college Fees300.00\nRailroad -etc\n$100.00\nTexts, Laundry, Uniforms\nSpecial dues, Carfare.\nAccessories\n$100.00\n$1000.00\nFor the additional four months of practice\nwhich I am lining up for , one spends\nBoard and Room\n250.00\nTuition and fees\n70.00\nCarFare- Laundry etc\nAccessories (Uniform Exp.\naccounted above )\n40.00\n360.00\nLees Salary from V.N.A. -160.00\nHenry Str.--2mos,@$80.\n200.00.\nTotal\n$1200.\nTotal Time lyr.\nTwo-thirds of this --is\n--$800.\n5V 12 mos.\nI trust that this will be satisfactory.
