100 Washington Square,
New York City.
My dear Sir:
Your letter of January 7th has been received.
A recent communication from Miss Hay stated that Miss
Torrance was expecting to leave soon after the first of
the year. We have had no information giving us the date
of her sailing, consequently I can give you no further in-
formation than that which you al ready possess. As far as
we know, she is weel and we expect to hear almost any day
of her sailing.
