COPY. October 11, 1925. Miss Ida M. Butler, Nursing Service, American Red Cross, Washington, D.C. Dear Miss Butler: As I believe Miss Noyes has already left for St. Louis, I send this to you. Her letter of 7th October is recieved. Enclosed is my expense account for trip home which is covered by the advance I took from Sofia excepting for $.38. I arrived in New York the 1st of October, 1925. Counting 3 weeks to make up 1 month's vacation for me since August 1924. it would make the date for my release October 21st. If you approve of this and of the ex- pense account, will you kindly forward the information to the Director of Accounts, for I am sending no statement to his office. Could I trouble you also to inquire about my salary check for the month of September. I wrote to the Director of Accounts that my address would be c/o S.A. Torrance, 100 Washington Sq. N.Y. City after the ist of September ans I thought in ample time that the check in question would be sent to this address ,arriving around the 2nd or 3rd of October, but it has not come. yet. If it was sent to Sofia I will of course eventually recieve it with other forwarded mail and that will be quite satisfactory but I thought it best to make sure. If you are sending mail to Miss Noyes during her absence from Washington would you please include the enclosed letter to her. Other wise it is of course all right to await her return. Sincerely yours 'signed( Rachel Torrance other copy of this letter filed 502 Bulgarian School ( Fin.)
