In regard to your expense account, send it on as promptly
as possible, and if you have not had your full vacation of
a month, will you not let us know? I find by your contract
with the Red Cross that you were enrolled in New York, gave
that 58 your address, and stated. that travel beyond
that
point would not be required, i.s., upon your return.-
Inasmuch 8.8 these contracts are submitted with all the
vouchere to the auditors, I very much fear that I cannot
secure transportation for you to California. I am greatly
disappointed by this, and so ie Mr. Swift, but there seeme
no way to get around it. You should not count as vacation
the time you spent in Vienna attending the Regional Confer-
ence of the League of Red Cross Societies.
I am writing to Miss Johnson in regard to return transporta-
tion for Miss Pachedjieva I am sure Miss Goff will want
to see her 88 promptly 88 possible. I found a nice letter
from Miss Goff aweiting me upon my arrival, in which she
informed me that all the changes had been made, that that
furthermore they had done quite a lot of painting and other
things, and that the incoming class measured up very well
and that things were going very comfortably.
I am starting off Saturday night, worse luck, for St. Louis,
after which I will probably to go Alabama and will be gone
twelve days, 80 that I probably will not see you again
before you leave for the West. I expect, however, to attend
the New York State Meeting on the 27th, and if you are there
at that time as I will probably be passing through New York
City, I shall hope for a little visit from you.
