Extracted from letter from Miss May to Miss Noyes , Jan. 31, 1922.

70g "Your letter of Jan. 9, 1922. addressed to Mrs. Vaughan - you have heard of Miss
Terrence's appointment to Czecho-Slovakia Owing to serious financial difficultties
in connection with the work in the Balties already three nurses have been released
from that commission, the Misses Moreland, Baker and Peters, all of whom will
prebably be sailing Feb. 25th, via Southern Route. Miss Torrence writes on-
thusiastically of her work in Prague where she is busy assisting in a short course
for the health visitors similar to that of the Krakow school, with some forty students
women who are helping in the various stations in attendence. Miss Besem also writes

enthusiastically of Miss Torrence's helpfulness.
