Miss Marguerite Wales March 31, 1942 Eastera Area Attention: Miss Bonham Mrs. Laura Nolton Turner Marie Peterson Vassalboro, Maine In a letter I received from Mrs. Laura Nolton Turner she requests some information on equipment for one of the lessons in the Home Nursing Program. Quoting from her letter "Am I ancient in every respect? The always tried where a Chapter was having a number of Home Nursing classes and expected to have a real Home Nursing program to have at least a dodl and layette for the lesson on the baby. Waterville Chapter has had 12 classes in the city, several in its branches and when I asiced for a doll for my class said they would consider getting one. Today they told me the other classes had borrowed or something and that they might get one but the Chairman had not yet ordered it. I got the impression Miss Torrens did not feel it was a necessity. . Perhaps I am wrong and perhaps National no longer requires one. Can you tell me about this? I am trying to teach a class of middle aged well educated women and I'm wondering why I ever WES so foolish as to undertake it. But its all for the cause and I guess I can finish it."
