    "ocrText": "fallen\nDecember 23, 1941\nMrs. Laura Nolton Turner\nVassalboro, Maine\nDear Laura:\nIt was so nice to hear from you and I hope you will soon\nredeive a reply from the Eastern Area or someone regarding the\nCommittee appointment.\nlie made en extract of your letter which we referred to Miss\nAnnabelle Petersen and also the Eastern Area inasmuch as they\nassume a lot of the responsibility now of the Committee work.\nI am not sure that anyone has told you that the Eastern Area is\nnow located in Alexandria, Virginia, It was BO crowded here at\nNational Headquarters that a new building was put up in Alex-\nandria to accomodate the Eastern Area. of course, this is more\nin line with the way other areas are handled. I certainly miss\nmy old buddies here at Headquarters, but fortunately Mary DeLaskey\nlives in the same building here in Washington and \"KlineyB is just\naround the corner. Alice Dagger happens to be in and lives at All\nStates. She is hoping, however, to return to the field sometime.\nShe certainly does not like desk work.\nYour family is growing up and I can hardly realize you have a\nboy who is married and your daughter is now graduated from the school\nof nursing. You certainly are a busy person doing volunteer work for\nthe Red Cross.
