Turner\nVassalboro\nMaine\nMy dear Mrs. Turner:\nYou do not know how delighted I was to receive one\nof the beautiful wreaths which you sent to Public Health Nursing\nService. I think they were most generous to share with me and if\nyou could see the wreath on the door of the Nursing Service you\nwould be proud of the contribution Maine is making to our Christmas\nfestivities. It always gives one such a feeling of joy to see\nChristmas greens.\nI was also allowed the privilege of reading your delight-\nful letter and would just love to see you in the midst of your\ndomestic activities. How proud you must have been to sit at the\nhead of a table with a full grown.family to enjoy your Thanksgiving\ndinner!\nI always look back with a great deal of pleasure to our\nassociations with you and have a great sense of gratitude to you for\nall you did to build & Red Cross Nursing Service in Maine. You were\nalways too modest and took very little of the credit to yourself but\nwe know that you were the motivating force that plowed a very sterile\nfield.\nWith best wishes and hoping you and yours will have a\nMerry Christmas and a Happy New Year, I am\nSincerely and gratefully yours,\nIda F.
