    "ocrText": "- 2 -\nMrs. Laura Knowlton Turner -\nMay 26, 1937\nwho meet the requirements for enrollment in the Red Cross Nursing\nService, to become enrolled Red Cross nurses, and we are sure\nMiss Beal, will be glad to send you a few sets of enrollment\napplication papers, upon request, so you may have them on hand\nto give to any nurses whom you may be able to interest. It should\nbe made clear to the applicants, however, that as soon as the\npapers have been filled in according to the instructions given,\nthey should be forwarded to Miss Beal, the Secretary, who will\nbe responsible for collecting the necessary credentials and\ncompleting the applications for the action of the National\nCommittee. The enclosed pamphlet, ARC 703, clearly sets forth\nthe requirements for enrollment and will, we are sure, be of\nassistance to you in giving other nurses this information.\nWe hope we have been able to make all this clear\nto you but if not, please do not hesitate to write us for additional\ninformation.\nAlthough we are sure you are acquainted with both\nthe officers of the Maine State and Local Committee, we repeat\nthat Miss Ingeborg C. Johansen, Farmington State Normal School,\nPurington Hall, Farmington, Maine, is the Chairman, and the\nname and address of the Secretary has already been given in this\nletter.\nAssuring you of our appreciation of your interest\nin the Red Cross Nursing Service and of your willingness to render\nthis service, I am\nSincerely yours,\nSecretary, National Committee\nRed Cross Nursing Service"
