my dear miss noyes,
I am so sorry not to have gotten
over to say good- hye to you. I expected to
have more time than I did, but things
seemed to pile up in all three of my states
and I spent most of my time at headquart
ers catching up on back work. This morn- the
train just wouldn't wait for me. Somehow
ing I still had adds and ends to do, and
I don't feel that live made a visit to head-
quarters unless l see you a few minutes
