December 8, 1932 Miss Laura F. Knowlton Nursing Field Representative, A.R.C.. Box 75 Vassalboro, Maine My dear Miss Knowlton: We have just decided that in order to avoid any possible confusion of records, it would be a wise plan to bring the #2 cards, or committee enrollment record cards, of all our Nursing Field Representatives in to this office holding them in their, personal folders here at National Head- quarters during the period of their field service. This means that while you are a Red Cross Nursing Field Representative your #2 card will be on file at National Headquarters instead of the Local Committee on Red Cross Nursing Service which has been holding it and you will receive your annual address ques- tionnaires for completion, directly from Washington. We are writing our Maine State and Local Committee for your #2 card at this time. As soon as it reaches us and your transfer is actually effected, we will send you the usual official advice of your transfer to National Headquarters. Hoping you will approve of this decision, I am Very sincerely yours National Director Nursing Service MR:SR
