with Dr. Murphy'a Unit,
Paris, FRANCE.
My dear Miss Russell:
I have an application on file at this office for
Misa M. Jessup, whose application was rejected in New
Tork on account of har not being registored. She is at. pres-
ent in France, and has Written to ma lately in ragard to har
enrollment from France, in the hope that wa may wive the re-
quirements for registration. She has had previous service
in France and was for a number of months in Serbia.
I am sending a couy of Miss Jordan's leat letter
concerning her, and will you be good enowgh to look upa her
record in France if you have opportunity to do so, and melte
recommendation to this office in rogard to her anrollment.
We are anxious to givo the protection of the Red Cross to
American nurses whenever we feel justified in doing so, but
should not wish to enroll a murse who has been the subject of
serious criticiam,
I will write to Mies Jeasup. giving her your address
in the hope that sha may be able to see you if you cannot visit
her hospital.
