Mrs. is July 7, 1930. Mrs. George F. Waring, c/o Nigerian Railway Ebute Metta, Lagos, Nigeria, B.W.A. M My dear Mrs. Waring# Your very interesting letter of April 26th reached my office some weeks ago. An enforced absence, however, has made it impossible for me to reply before today. I am returning the picture, for you may wish to return it to the place from which it was taken. I was glad, however, to see it, as well as that which you sent me in your previous letter, showing the "three water carriers." If you see the American Journal of Nursing, you *ill see an extract from your letter of January 30th. It was so interesting that I copied it practically verbatim. Strangely enough Dr. Beeuwkes married the sister of one of my most intimate friends - Madge Dumbell. I was writing to her sister Katharine, a few days ao, and took the opportunity to copy your words of praise of Pr. Beeuwkes. the is known well to the fled Cross, for he was in charge of the medical work with the Russian Commission which the American Red Cross largely financed. Before answering your question regarding slides, I consulted Mrs. I. W. Baker, who has charge of our Course in Home Hygiene and Gare of the Sick. She suggested we send you a list that our Instructors use. This seems to answer almost every question that anyone asks on the subject of material. Unfortunately, we have no set of films that would be of value to you in this particular con- nection. I assume, would far too. adyanced It is just massible thfigh something that would answer your purpose. Council; 370 Seventh Aventie, "hy not write to them for their list of films and slides? I hope that the few suggestions I have been able to make will be of some assistance to you. Write to me whenever you can,and whenever you have an interestóng story be sure and send it along, Sincerely yours, n.h National Pirector, Nursing Service. 31822
